Adverse Credit History Loans

Personal Loans For People With Bad Credit

Getting into financial debt is often unavoidable at times during your life; day to day pressures can sometimes be a cause. When a borrower has an adverse credit history, getting a loan is still possible. Help with a bad credit loan is always available.  Money provided to a person experiencing financial hardship is no different to any other type of loan and can be used by the applicant in the same way. Poor credit histories can be caused by deliberate actions from defaulting on a loan to simple mistakes like a missed or late credit card payment. If a person is accepted for a loan and makes repayments promptly and regularly, then this will almost certainly help to improve their credit rating.

For the borrower, bad credit loans may serve more than just one purpose. Money could be required for wedding expenses, education or to consolidate existing debts. There are people who borrow money even when they do not need it because they want to repair their credit score. They use a loan that they can pay regularly, as a means to achieve this.

There are two options available, secured and unsecured loans, but with the secured option the amount of loan will be greater, up to £75,000  and the repayment period can be extended to a period of twenty five years. However, if you take the unsecured loan route the maximum you will be able to lend will be dramatically reduced to £25,000 and you will only have 10 years to pay it back.

The reason a larger amount can be borrowed with a secured loan is because recovery of the amount is guaranteed. Something of equal value to the loan would be used as collateral, such as the family home. This is the reason why a lower interest rate can be arranged. There are, of course, serious dangers with taking out a secured loan, because if you fail to meet the payments, you could lose your home. Most mortgage offers should carry the warning,  "THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SECURING OTHER DEBTS AGAINST YOUR HOME. YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON A MORTGAGE OR ANY OTHER DEBT SECURED ON IT." or some similar wording.

With adverse credit unsecured loans, the borrower will always pay more interest as no guarantee has been provided, so finding a lender with a low unsecured lending rate becomes more important.

Credit card debt consolidation loans are quite common and allow the lender to consolidate a number of different credit card debts into one loan and very often obtain a much lower rate of interest than the typical 15% to 25% which applies to many credit cards. An alternative to a loan is a balance transfer from a high interest credit card to on with a lower rate. There are numerous credit card companies offering 0% Interest Balance Transfers for a limited period (often more than 12 months) to new members. Look here for 0% Interest Balance Transfers

Internet research into bad credit loan companies can even provide certain lenders who will take on applicants who have serious debt problems and previous court judgments against them. Having said that, there aren't many of these companies willing to provide a loan under these circumstances so the chances are that the only way to find one and apply is online.

No credit check loans are available in the UK but these will inevitably carry a higher rate of interest.

The good thing about bad credit loans is that you will probably still be able to fulfill your financial obligations without the poor credit score getting in the way. If at all possible, select a company online, as the process will be quicker and the stresses behind the reason for the loan should fade away.

Finally, with loans for someone with bad credit, the opportunity to maintain credibility in the financial market by paying previous debts whilst rebuilding credit history, has got to be a good thing.
